In a recent interview broadcast on French TV, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave comments made by Hillary Clinton a decidedly gender-based response.
Clinton said earlier this year that the methods being used by Russia as of late are similar to the ones employed by Adolf Hitler in the 1930s.
She went on to call Putin a thin-skinned tough guy.
In his delayed rebuttal Putin said, "It's better not to argue with women.”
The Russian leader also expressed his feeling that Clinton often lacked grace in the comments she makes.
While he offered a prediction that one day the two may share a laugh over “some good joke”, he made it clear that for now he remains unimpressed by what he called her ‘extreme’ statements.
He completed his comments on Clinton’s approach by saying, “When people push boundaries too far, it’s not because they are strong but because they are weak. But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman."
Putin also characterized the comments as being a telltale sign that the US lacks valid arguments on the matter - and is simply pursuing the protection of its own interests.
