A major tax relief has been provided to the taxpayers through Finance Bill (2014-15) by abolishing the most disputed income support levy imposed in the last budget. Experts said on Tuesday that the Income Support Levy Act was promulgated through the Finance Act, 2013. The aim was to provide resources for the economically distressed persons. However, this measure has caused some concerns among public. It is therefore proposed to repeal the Income Support Levy Act, 2013.
