Up with the birds today, but totally worth it to see these 60's bombshells backstage at Moschino.
The Inspiration: 'It's nice to be playful at Moschino,' said makeup artist Tom Pecheux of the labels' tendency towards a fun-filled spirit. The angel and devil idea that he collaborated with hair stylist Sam McKnight on wasn't heavily referenced in the past: this was a contemporary interpretation of these polar beauty looks.
"Glam, all out, fantasy beauty," says Tom "We've used lipstick in Morange by MAC and we wanted some serious look-at-me eyes; so we've used fake lashes on the top and bottom. It's Moschino! It's Milan! We're having fun!"
Key Products: For 'blood red lips' MAC's Pro Burgundy and Red Lipmix was precisely applied, atop skin that was perfectly matte. For the black slashed eyes, Pecheux applied a slick of Blacktrack Fluidline, detailed in red with Redd Lip Pencil. For 'bad girl' hair, McKnight created a 'masculine, low side parting' before sweeping the hair along the hairline using Pantene's Ice Shine Mousse for control. For the angel look, the focus was skin dewy with Face and Body foundation, Pink Swoon Powder Blush to create rosy cheeks and undefined brows, while McKnight devised a braided, center parted look that was simply given some grip with Pantene Volume and Body Hairspray.
