Brown released from jail, Bieber apologizes for racist joke

Chris Brown was released from a Los Angeles jail on Monday (June 02). The singer was serving a one-year sentence for violating probation from his 2009 assault of Rihanna. Brown has been locked up since March 14 after he was kicked out of court-ordered rehabilitation for violating rules. He must still undergo court-ordered therapy, random drug testing and community service.

Justin Bieber has apologized for a racist joke that was revealed in a recently posted online video. A British tabloid published the clip, which was recorded five years ago and shows a young Bieber telling a joke that uses the N-word. Bieber took to Twitter to apologize saying, "As a kid, I didn't understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt."
