Arsene Wenger has told expectant Arsenal fans that the club could still have a busy end to the transfer window, with players still to come and go out in the final few days. Wenger had been working on a deal for Sahin for nearly two weeks, and with just days left of the transfers window, and having sold captain Robin van Persie and holding midfielder Alex Song, fans are understandably frustrated. But speaking ahead of this weekend's clash with Stoke at the Britannia, Wenger says the club are still active in the window. 'We are working in the market. We'll see what we can do,' Wenger told Arsenal.com 'I don't want make a promise that I cannot keep. But there still could be some action on the transfer market -- ins and outs.' 'The transfer market is open for two months and yet for one month and three weeks it is nearly closed. 'It wakes up completely in the last week and then every minute becomes important. 'Everybody has played for time for seven or eight weeks and now suddenly everyone is in a hurry. And that is when the most intense activity happens.' Arsenal have splashed out a total of £35 million already this summer on deals for Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla, but the ability to bring in more new faces has been hampered by the failure to offload several high-earning fringe players. Carlos Vela and teenager defender Kyle Bartley have both been moved on, but Sebastien Squillaci, Andrey Arshavin, Park Chu-Young, Marouane Chamakh and Nicklas Bendtner still remain on the books -- despite being told they could go earlier in the summer.
