Farzana Iqbal was stoned to death by her own family outside a Pakistani court for marrying this man against her parents wishes.

The killing has ignited international condemnation.

Her husband Muhammed Iqbal saw the whole thing.

"At first a woman held Farzana tight. Then her father and her brother, her cousin and other relatives started hitting her with bricks. During the scuffle, they also fired a shot."

Iqbal says he adored his wife.

"She was a very good woman. She was very beautiful. She was very good. She was a brave woman,"

But there is a twist to this case

By his own admission, Muhammed Iqbal himself killed his former wife and mother of his three children in a fight over Farzana in 2009

The case, while shocking, is far from unique
