A fire at a hospital for the elderly in South Korea has killed 21 people and injured eight others.

The blaze which was put out relatively quickly happened in the south west region of Jangseong .

Most of the victims were on the second floor of the building and health officials described them as chronically ill patients who were unable to walk or move freely.

Investigators are looking in to what started the fire.
