A 22-year-old woman in Stevenson Ranch, California is left with a bandaged up eye as a constant reminder of a road rage incident that escalated to a dangerous level.
The victim, who wishes to only be identified as Megan, and her boyfriend Blake Hipp had been leaving a Walmart parking lot on a recent Saturday night at the time of the incident.
Seemingly from nowhere, a suspect reportedly tried to strike the couple’s car. They were able to swerve and avoid a collision, but right away they encountered the driver yet again.
"I heard a big pop right away. Instantly, I thought it was a gun shot. She actually thought a broken bottle hit her face." [KABC]
Although Megan has undergone surgery on her eye resulting from the shooting, it’s not known if she will ever fully get her vision back. What makes the ordeal even worse is that she works as a photographer and already has impaired vision in her left eye.
The suspect has not yet been caught. Detectives are trying to obtain the security footage from the store.
