The fashion night par excellance has finally started.
The lights are flooding the red carpet of the New York's Metropolitan Museum of Arts signalling the start of the 2014 Met Gala, an event that, this year, marks two significant facts: the opening of a major exhibition on Charles James, one of the most significant American couturiers in the history of fashion, and the opening of the Anna Wintour Costume Center, the brand new exhibition centre (emerged as a result of the renovation and extension of The Costume Institute) which is named after and dedicated to the Editor in Chief of Vogue USA.
