Police today foiled a major terror bid by defusing a 25-kilogram bomb from a bus-stop in Saeedabad area.
According to police sources, on receiving information about a suspicious bag, Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) personnel were called. Upon search a 25-kg bomb was recovered from the bag which was successfully defused. Moreover, ball bearings and nuts were also used in the making of the bomb. Police officials said that the bomb if exploded could have caused massive destruction in the city.
