On a leisurely hike in the wilderness, there are many things you might see – animals, lakes, trees, but you probably wouldn’t expect to stumble across a massive, stuffed bunny.

Unless of course, you happen to be trekking through the Northern Italian mountainside. A huge and rather odd-looking stuffed pink rabbit resides on top of a hill called Colletto Fava.

The bunny named ‘Hase’ measures about 180 feet in length. The knitted, stuffed animal was created by a team of Vienna based artists.

‘Hase’ is comprised of fabric and straw. Amazingly, it’s been in the same location for nearly a decade and for the most part, the bunny is intact.

It’s hoped the rabbit will survive on the slope for another 10 or so years. By the year 2025, the artists anticipate that live animals and weather conditions will render it either gone or entirely degraded.

For now though, the bunny remains in decent shape, except for a spot where its insides are dangling out, but 'Hase' still serves as the ideal, comfortable napping or resting spot for hikers and tourists.

If a trip to the Italian Alps isn’t in your future, you can always view it through Google Maps.
