It's Mother's Day at the Vatican.
Following a ceremony where Pope Francis ordained 13 new priests in St. Peter's Basilica --
He greeted thousands of the faithful from the papal apartments to mark Mother's Day, with a special welcome to the moms in the crowd.
(SOUNDBITE) (Italian) POPE FRANCIS SAYING:
"Today I ask you to take a moment to dedicate a beautiful thought and a prayer for all the mothers. Let's greet the mothers."
(NAT) CHEERING
(SOUNDBITE) (Italian) POPE FRANCIS SAYING:
"Entrusting them to the mother of Jesus, let us pray for our mothers and all mothers."
Mother's Day is marked on the second Sunday of May in many countries around the world.
