Greenpeace activists have tried to stop the first oil from Russia’s new Arctic drilling platform from reaching port in Rotterdam.
Dutch police prevented them from doing so, storming the Greenpeace ship.
Some of those involved were environmental activists detained by Russia for a protest in the Arctic last year.
Greenpeace is opposed to drilling in the Arctic Sea which it says risks causing a catastrophe in a fragile ecosystem.
The so-called ‘Arctic 30’ were arrested by Russian military forces and charged with piracy, carrying a potential prison term of decades, but released under an amnesty initiated by President Vladimir Putin.
