Nominations for the Tony Awards have been announced and the musical satire "A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder" led the pack of Broadway's best with 10 nods including ones for best musical, director and leading actor. The musical beat out several high-profile shows like "Bullets Over Broadway" "Rocky," and "Bridges of Madison County" which were not nominated for the top prize. Rounding out the category for best musical were "After Midnight," "Aladdin," and "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical."
Neil Patrick Harris, whose hit show "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" has earned critical acclaim, received a nod for best actor in a musical. His show earned 8 nods, including one for best revival.
On the play side, revivals of "Twelfth Night" and "The Glass Menagerie" received the most nominations of any Broadway play production, each garnering seven nods. Other best play revival nominees were "A Raisin in the Sun" and "The Cripple of Inishmaan" - although its star, Daniel Radcliffe
