Residents in one Kent neighborhood got so fed up with hearing Celine Dion’s voice, they contacted local authorities for help. The problem was that one of Celine’s apparent fans wouldn’t stop playing the same song over and over again.

According to Medway Council, 47-year-old Gareth Davies played ‘My Heart Will Go On’ continuously during the afternoon and evening hours. Once in awhile, he also blasted James Brown's ‘Love Machine’, Apache Indian's ‘Boom Shack A Lack’ and the theme song to Toy Story.

His neighbors got sick of the same tunes relatively quickly. Once they issued complaints, Davies was sent a noise abatement notice, serving as a ban on his incessant music playing. It didn’t seem to do much good because he violated it six times.

That’s when authorities stepped in to seize all his equipment. His PlayStation 3, laptop, expensive TV, speakers, along with numerous DVDs and CDs were taken from the home.

All the items were placed into storage. After a little under a month, Davies will be able to apply for their return.

Medway Council's community safety authority, Peter Hicks remarked “People have the right to lead a peaceful existence without it being ruined by loud music. We won't tolerate this sort of behaviour and anyone who blasts out music or creates other noise nuisance should let this be a warning to them.”
