A passenger on board this aircraft caused a hijack scare on a flight from Australia to Indonesia.

Virgin Australia officials say crew on this Boeing 737 handcuffed Matt Christopher after he acted aggressively.

Passengers at the Bali airport on aircraft nearby took photographs of the drama as it unfolded.

Here Indonesian troops can be seen ready to board the plane once it landed after reports that it had been hijacked.

Virgin blamed the confusion on a "miscommunication" and said the Australian, who had been drunk, banged on the door of the cockpit trying to get in.

An Indonesian air force spokesman said all the 137 passengers and six crew members were unharmed and taken off the aircraft at Denpasar.

Virgin Australia Airlines, formerly Virgin Blue Airlines, is Australia's second-largest airline.
