The father of the 15-year-old boy who stowed away in the wheel well of a Boeing 767 thanked Allah for protecting his child.

Defying all odds, the child was able to gain access to a plane that was sitting at the San Jose Airport.

Even more extraordinary than being able to successfully hide in the wheel compartment was that he survived the flight and was able to walk away when the craft landed in Hawaii.

His father recently told the Voice of America, “When I watched the analysis about the extraordinary and dangerous trip of my son on local TVs and that Allah had saved him, I thanked God and I was very happy.”

When the two were reunited, they spent the day in prayer.

The stowaway’s father also offered insights about where the youth was probably headed and why.

He told reporters than when they lived in Africa his son wasn’t educated.

Since moving to the United States, the boy’s been attending school but having trouble with the lessons.

As of late, he’d been talking about their African home quite a bit.

It’s believed that’s where he was trying to go.
