Hi, this is Frank Chen with REIClub.com, the only site you need as a real estate investor. Today I’ve got a quick video on 5 deadly real estate investing mistakes, that you might already be making.
1) Becoming A Professional Student
- Buying too many Home Study Courses
- Attending seminars to "network", but not doing anything with your connections
- Learn everything about a niche, but never take action
2) Always Starting, Never Finishing
- Bought a domain, but its just sitting there
- Created a website, but don't use it
- Setup your call center, no marketing
3) Giving Up
- Most people quit the last 10%, don't let that be you
- First deal goes bad, don't try again
- Didn't make as much as you thought
4) Trusting, Not Researching
- Making offers based solely on what your realtor says - overpaying
- Selling at a lower price just to move it faster
- Overpaying for rehabs
- Buying at the wrong time
- Location - Developing Areas
5) Quitting Your Day Job
- Puts extra pressure on you maintaining your bottom line - so if you make $20K on your first deal, please don't quit your job just yet.
- Don't fall into the false sense of "Get Rich Quick"
I’m sure many of you listening to this are guilty of at least one of these. Don’t feel bad, you’re not alone. But this is exactly why I wanted to bring this up. These 5 common real estate investing mistakes are easily curable, and i’m sure you have already heard the solution before, which is you have to “Take Action”.
