Ukraine has launched a criminal investigation into Russian lender Sberbank.
The enquiry is related to financing pro-Russian separatists, according to Ukraine’s acting Attorney General.
Fourteen banks are under investigation for helping to fund activists who have taken over a number of buildings in eastern Ukraine.
The country’s state security service had referred to an unnamed bank that transferred 45 million hryvnia (around 2.7 million euros) between March and April for financing militant groups.
