The Drayton Manor Theme Park in the UK recently broke the Guinness World Record for the ‘largest gathering of people wearing one-piece pajamas’. Given that the theme park just smashed the previous record, the Guinness title for the feat has not officially been handed over, but it’s pretty safe to say Drayton Manor is all set.
The park absolutely shattered the former record. On the day of the onesie event, the park was forced to close its door in the early afternoon, as exactly 3,152 people showed up wearing the PJs.
The previous onesie record was set by Ringwood School in Hampshire with a total of 1,184 people wearing the unique pajamas. Authorities at Drayton Manor Theme Park even posted a note on the park’s website, asking for no additional guests to come, as they had already reached full capacity.
Many of those who were lucky enough to get inside, had to wait in line for about an hour and a half, but they paid a greatly reduced admission price for taking part in the event.
In addition to the impressive onesie accomplishment, the park also set a new record for the ‘longest scream by a crowd of people.’ The group maintained 80 decibels for over eight minutes, seriously beating the previous record for two minutes and five seconds.
