Athens, Greece, 11 March 2014.
Laid-off and unpaid Greek workers gather on Tuseday evening, outside the the event center of the national finalists for the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, and shout slogans claiming their unpaid wages. They denounce that one of the organizers of the Greek National Eurovision Song Final owes their money and does not pay them, while at the same time this businessman is making business with the Greek state. They argue that the company that has been organizing the song contest is funding the event with money owed to these former employees.
Although the protesters were no more than 200, a large number of riot police squads were mobilized towards them.
After shouting slogans at the rhythm of a drummer, the protesters marched to a restaurant bar of the Athens night life area "Gazi", in order to denounce the lay-offs of three of their colleagues, and ended the protest peacefully.
