Bouncing around on a pogo stick for extended periods of time is certainly no joke. A 24-year-old man from Staffordshire UK recently competed in Greater Manchester Marathon, but instead of running, he finished the race using a pogo stick.

Jack Sexty may have broken a world record for the person to travel the longest distance on a pogo stick over the duration of 24 hours. Nothing has yet been made official but authorities at Guinness World Records are awaiting evidence to review so the information can be verified.

The previous record for the feat is held by an American man who hopped a little over 23 miles on a pogo stick in 14 and a half hours. Sexty completed the 26 mile marathon in 16 hours.

Of course his accomplishment comes with a few negative aspects. Sexty detailed them stating ‘I had never felt pain like it. When I finished I just wanted to lie on the floor and stay there. Maybe in a month's time I might think about getting back on a pogo stick and doing some other challenge but at the moment all I can think of is sleeping.’

Sexty competed in the marathon to raise money for local organizations like Alzheimer's Research UK.
