Researchers from Taiwan used health records over 4 years, to find that insomnia leads people under the age of 40 to be at higher risk of having a stroke. The sleep disorder accounts for people having 8 times the chances of having a stroke. Other side effects of insomnia include loss of memory, depression and increased risk of heart disease.
