Mickey Rooney has died. The actor was the biggest movie star in Hollywood as a teenager in the 1930s and went on to became a versatile character actor with a career that spanned 10 decades. Rooney died of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles. He was 93.

Peaches Geldof - the daughter of musician Bob Geldof - has died. Geldof has worked as a DJ, model, journalist and television personality. She died at her home in England at age 25. Her father organized the charity Band Aid to help raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia. So far, no cause of death has been named.
