https://www.youtube.com/CyclingExplorerTV - For those who are unaware, Smith Farms is located off the main Alum Creek Trail. It is just north of Heron Pond and east of Sycamore fields. Smith Farms is part of the larger Three Creeks City of Columbus and Metro Parks, park system. Smith Farms and is comprised of roughly 335 acres and was purchased in 1994 from the Lot Smith family. Of the acreage the use ranges from farmed for the spring and summer programs, ecological and biological workshops for both Metro Parks and City of Columbus groups. There is open space, wetland and prairie areas. Many specially permitted activities such as races, cycling events and walking events take place there throughout the year. The parking area is only open on special events.
