STORY: Actor Orlando Bloom received the 2,521st star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Wednesday (April 2) at a ceremony honoring the "The Lord of the Rings" and "Pirates of the Caribbean" star. The star was placed right on Hollywood Boulevard between the historic TCL Chinese Theatre and the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, a well-trafficked tourist hotspot. Bloom, 37, made his feature film debut in the 1997 biography of the Irish writer Oscar Wilde, "Wilde," but it was his role as the archer elf Legolas in Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy that gave him worldwide fame. He followed with another blockbuster franchise, Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" film series, further cementing his A-list star status.
