Two people were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the death of a tour guide who got shot to death on Monday night at Sri Sentosa.
According to the New Straits Times, The victim was picked up by a friend in a Proton Wira at his house to go for a drink at a nearby restaurant.
At around 10:20 p.m., after they had arrived at the restaurant, a Proton Saga approached and rammed into their car. Four men got out of the car, and one of them shouted at the victim.
City Criminal Investigations Department acting chief Assistant Commisioner Khairy Ahrasa was quoted by the New Straits Times as saying that one of the men shouted at the victim that he should be chopped up.
The victim exited the car and started running to escape, but one of the men shot him twice in the back with a 9mm automatic gun.
His friends waiting for him at the restaurant called an ambulance. The man was rushed to the hospital, but died there.
At the scene, police found a bullet casing and two bullets.
According to the New Straits Time a special task force was set up to investigate the case.
