Earthquakes rattle SoCal's La Habra and Fullerton

Views 39

Southern California rocked under the force of two earthquakes this weekend, just a week after the City of Angels experienced a 4.4 magnitude tremblor.

The first quake which registered at 5.1, struck just outside the LA suburb of La Habra at 9:09 p.m. No injuries were reported, but objects tumbled inside both homes and shops, and several buildings suffered cracks in the walls.

About 50 in nearby Fullerton evacuated their homes for fear of structural damage to their buildings and broken water mains forced police to close some roads in the city.

Disneyland momentarily stopped rides and asked guests to remain seated.

The second quake rattled the region Saturday afternoon. The 4.1 rattler was the largest of about 100 aftershocks that followed Friday's rumbler.
