There's been a seismic swing to the right in the first major poll since François Hollande's election. If the first round was about abstention and the inroads of the far-right, the numbers of the run-off are all about Hollande's Socialists' defeat. Until last night, more than half of French cities were run by the left. Now it's slightly more than a third. Is the problem policy, or Hollande's way of governing?
