Venezuela has arrested three air force generals it accuses of plotting to overthrow President Nicolas Maduro.

The arrests come after weeks of protests demanding the resignation of the embattled leader. Less than two weeks ago, the country's army and National Guard swore allegiance to the president and vowed to crush "all enemies of the revolution".
