A young Texan, 23-year-old Michael Emerson, is dead following a hit-and-run: the tragic end to an argument concerning the ending of the film the movie buff and his friends had just seen. The exact circumstances that lead to his death are not clear but police are searching for two young men they believe will help with their inquiries

Just after midnight on Tuesday and Emerson and his two buddies were in the cinema complex's bathroom talking over the ending of 300: Rise of an Empire. Two other men in the room a different opinion on the film's merits. An argument developed, according to Emerson's friends.

After spilling out into the car park, the two strangers were about to drive away when Emerson approached the white ford pickup's passenger side window to say something. The driver back into Emerson, violently knocking him to the asphalt.

Paramedics arrived on the scene momentarily but were unable to save the 23-year-old's life. He later died at a nearby hospital.

Police want to speak to two men captured on center security cameras the same evening.
