The latest in autumn and winter designs go on display at the 40th Argentina Fashion Week.

Designer Maria Pryor found inspiration from rock star Luis Alberto Spinetta for her collection full of chiffon dresses and handmade silk jackets.

Pryor said she was inspired by Spinetta's song "Ana no duerme."

SOUNDBITE: Maria Pryor, designer, saying (Spanish):

"The collection is based on Spinetta's theme "Ana no duerme" (Ana does not sleep) and in reality, a little on this fantastical and romantic world he always wrote about but above all this theme is about a character who runs, flies and and flows through water, is someone who is free and can mix and dissolve into nothingness."

Up next was designer Markova.

The line directed at young, modern, professional Argentine women featured ripped trousers, sweaters and leather pencil skirts.

More than 20 collections from national and international designers are debuted during Argentina Fashion Week.
