With all of the people looking for the missing Malaysian airlines flight, how surprised would you be if Courtney Love was the one who found it? Nine days after the Beijing bound flight MH370 disappeared, Love took to her Facebook page to post a picture and announce she may have located the aircraft.

Using the website, Tomnod, Love zoomed in on one area of ocean near the small rocky island called Pulau Perak, which is very close to the last spot where authorities were reportedly able to track the plane.

Love even drew red arrows on the image, pointing to what appears to be oil markings and a mass under the water’s surface which she labeled as the possible plane. The discolorations on the patch of ocean do, in fact, seem to resemble an oil slick.

As for the object underneath the water, it’s difficult to tell, but given the long, narrow shape, it could very well be an aircraft.

After her discovery, Love commented ‘I saw an article asked people to help search on Tomnod.com so I decided to give it a shot… I don’t know if it is the plane or not, but I figured I’d do my part and bring some awareness to the site, for the sake of all the families involved.’
