A Chinese woman who got married three months after meeting her husband online is looking to divorce him after discovering he's a wife-beating schizophrenic!

The unidentified couple from the eastern Chinese city of Nanjing met online in 2012, and got married lickety-split after the girl got pregnant.

It looked like a life of marital bliss for the pair, until that is, the man struck his wife after returning home from work one day. The startled woman immediately called her family members. When a family member finally arrived, the husband reportedly claimed to not recall any of his actions.

Even more confused, his wife took him to the hospital, only to discover her husband suffered from schizophrenia. His parents, however, upon being informed of the diagnosis insisted their son was perfectly healthy and refused to get him any treatment.

The wife, who's currently unemployed, hoped to get a divorce, but was worried she would lose custody of their child, opted against it.
