Dr. Daniel Taheri (also known as Dan Taheri) is a board-certified dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon. This NBC interview features Dr. Taheri expressing the negative affects of tanning beds and the risks of skin cancer such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma. He is the author of a book titled, "Practical Management of Skin Cancer." Dr. Dan Taheri mentions that the safest way to achieve a tanned look is to get a spray tan. One in fifty five people develop melanoma and there are 3 million cases of basal cell carcinoma every year.
