After the INS Sinduratna mishap the heat has been on Defence Minister AK Antony but the Defence Ministry has rushed to his defence. The Ministry has lauded Antony saying that he has done a lot for the ministry and has strengthened the armed forces. In a letter released by the Defence Ministry they have said that Antony has done a lot to 'ramp up India's defence preparedness, modernizing the armed forces, strengthening security measures and apparatus across the board'.
