We set from Gokyo village early before sunset in the dark with our headlamps. After about 1 hr and 45 minutes of paced climbing I could feel the scarcity of oxygen with every step I was taking... Breathing itself so far had become some of a tough job at this altitude. But the reward was well worth it. At the summit of Gokyo-Ri at 5360m Everest and Nuptse were revealed front of us as the clouds receded...
