On a night in May 2012 when Gigja Einarsdóttir sat down with her family just outside Reykjavik to watch the Eurovision Song Contest the telephone rang. A neighbour found a foal lost and wandering on his own close to the sea. The foal was rescued and brought to Gigja’s home for the night. They named him Brogi and fortunately found his mother the following day. While in Gigja’s care, Brogi took the opportunity to play with a four year old girl. Credit: Gigja Einarsdottir
