This is another little random docking bay, but made in Maya. Took me a night to render it. If you are wondering why the ship starts shifting at the end, it is just that I rendered this animation in 3 parts (for each camera angle), and in each part I had to play the animation from beginning to the set frame for the ship to join the platform, because the ship was run by physics for landing, and got a gravity increase and a push to try and keep it firm on the platform.
I later decided to rerender it in higher quality and faster frame rate. Sadly I couldn't bring down the light circling speed enough so that is why they are haywire. This time I rendered from beginning to end on all 3 camera angles so no physics problems.
It was originally made to be for a custom station I would put into the game Escape Velocity Nova.
Anyways, hope you enjoy this little piece of art. :)
Sounds mixed with MODPlug Tracker.
