Ukraine protesters stay in square despite deal

A deal may have been reached in Ukraine but it hasn't stopped thousands of protesters from standing firm in Kiev's main square.

The pact signed by President Viktor Yanukovych and the opposition, says a unity government will be formed and a presidential election held.

But it's been met with scepticism by these demonstrators.

They want Yanukovych to go now.

(SOUNDBITE) (Ukrainian) UNIDENTIFIED PROTESTER WHO MADE HIS WAY ONTO THE STAGE, SAYING:

"We overturned the situation. We gave the politicians a chance so they could become ministers or presidents in the future, and they don't want to fulfil a simple obligation, for the criminal to go out."

Opposition leaders who signed the deal were booed and called traitors by the crowds....
