Iraq's Ministry of Defense on Sunday released footage it said showed aerial bombardments of an al-Qaida militants' hideout in Anbar province. Iraqi officials said on Sunday that it would take a few days to fully dislodge al-Qaida-linked fighters from the two key western cities of Ramadi and Fallujah. The militants largely seized control of both cities last week and have been fending off incursions by government forces since. In a statement given with the footage, the military said the Iraqi air force "shelled" the hideouts of fighters from the al-Qaida-linked Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL) late on Saturday night.
