Crocodiles can climb trees- a new study that researched the species in various parts of the world revealed that 4 different types of crocodiles can in fact climb. The reason for the new heights is to modify their body temperature, look for prey and be in a position to protect themselves from threats.

It can be hard to see a crocodile doing this as they are fast and coy in their movements. The smaller ones are able to reach higher heights, while some simply fall into the water without folly. The new study validates what locals have seen for years, as we continue to understand more about the terrifying, dangerous creatures, that so many of us are scared of.
