Bewakoofiyaan is a romantic comedy film directed by Nupur Asthana, written by Habib Faisal and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana, Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor in lead roles.

The film is described as a "slice of life" film, set during the time of recession. It's a contemporary slice of life story that turns set notions about relationships on their head.
Mohit Chadhdha is a marketing whiz kid vying for a step up the career ladder. On the other hand, Mayera Sehgal is a financial brain with a penchant for shoes. Ayushmann Khurrana and Sonam Kapoor's characters are described as being "passionately in love" and believe that their love can help them to survive, however Kapoor's father, played by Rishi Kapoor, strongly believes against this.

Their belief is that you can live on love and fresh air. And thus, their only obstacle is Mayera's willful bureaucratic father V.K Sehgal (Rishi Kapoor). The obstinate old man believes that only a rich man can bring Mayera happiness and a mid-level executive like Mohit simply isn't good enough!

Bewakoofiyaan is slated to release in theatres on March 14, 2014.
