Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Parliamentary Party leader in the Senate, Babar Khan Ghauri, said here on Thursday that Pakistanis having dual nationality are patriots and his party did not have any objection over the dual nationality of judges and government officials.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that the Constitution did not bar the judiciary and the government officials from having dual nationality.
Mr Ghauri demanded of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif to honour his commitment of providing opportunity to Pakistanis having dual nationality to contest elections by carrying out necessary legislation.
MQM has full confidence in the judiciary and considered patriotism of millions of overseas Pakistanis with dual nationality beyond any doubt or suspicion.
