amfAR's family affair.

Vanessa Redgrave was honored at the AIDS research foundation's annual New York gala.

On the red carpet Redgrave was joined by her late daughter, Natasha Richardson's sons, and daughter Joely Richardson and talked about Natasha's lasting commitment for amfAR.

Also recognized during the event was French photographer Peter Lindbergh who said he was surprised to get the call about the award.

"I figured out it was only that one prize. So I got a little more nervous then. And then I was really shocked. When I understand the whole, the whole importance of everything."
