Cate Blanchett wins award for "Blue Jasmine"

Cate Blanchett has won yet another award for her performance in the Woody Allen directed movie "Blue Jasmine".

This time she picked up the 2014 Outstanding Performer of the Year Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

But it comes after she was named in an open letter written by Dylan Farrow that was published in the New York Times.

In the letter, the adoptive daughter of Woody Allen accused the filmmaker of sexually assaulting her when she was seven years old.

Farrow also questioned Blanchett and other stars on their decision to work with Allen.

The Australian Oscar-winner is said to have told journalists over the weekend, "It's obviously been a long and painful situation for the family, and I hope they find some resolution and peace,"

Allen has denied the allegation, which first surfaced around the time of his split from Mia Farrow in 1992.
