Released on January 24, Salman Khan's much-awaited 'Jai Ho' successfully collected Rs. 100 crore worldwide.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the news by tweeting, "#JaiHo opng wknd: India *nett* Rs 60.68 cr, *gross* Rs 78.90 cr. Overseas *gross* Rs 22.38 cr. Worldwide total [gross]: Rs101.28 cr."
Meanwhile, 'Jai Ho' collected just over Rs 17 crores on it's opening day - a figure that compares poorly with the opening day collections of his other films. The year 2013 was packed with record-breaking blockbusters with first Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express and then Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3, where both the films broke Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots record to become the highest-earning Bollywood film. After that, Aamir Khan reclaimed his own record with Dhoom: 3.
Made on a budget of Rs 75 crores, although Jai Ho isn't expected to match these records, but is surely changing people's perspective with a good thought that is being projected in the movie.
