35-year-old Anthony Lescowitch, was recently apprehended after the police department did a little snooping on Facebook.

Some posts on Facebook border on complete absurdity. Police in Freeland, Pennsylvania love that fact, at least now they do.

35-year-old Anthony Lescowitch was recently apprehended after the police department did a little undercover work on Facebook. It all started when officers released a bulletin on the department official social media page.

The post had a picture of Lescowitch’s mugshot and a note that said he was wanted for assault charges. Only minutes after it was made public, Lescowitch, who could be described as cocky, shared the image on his own page and ridiculed cops for not being able to locate him.

Officers saw it, most likely laughed for a minute and developed a plan. Using Facebook, they created a profile, featuring a picture of an attractive female and contacted Lescowitch, asking to meet up for a drink.

Surprisingly, the suspect initially declined, but then agreed to meet for a cigarette together. Hook, line and sinker he fell. Officers were waiting at the meeting place and arrested him.

About 2 hours after the police made the first post, another one appeared noting “CAPTURED!!!!!! SHARES OUR STATUS ON FACEBOOK ABOUT HIMSELF, CAPTURED 45 MINUTES LATER.”
