Chinese bacon is typically derived from pork belly and air cured, but in most cases, not on balconies. Due to the shocking images, speculations have been made by Netizens in an effort to determine why anyone would hang that much meat outside their home.

One guess is that the resident is a work from home butcher. A few others speculate the third floor dweller has an extreme love of pork resulting in the bizarre meat hanging hobby.

Then there’s the sarcastic group who think the bacon hanger is using China’s pollution problem for an advantage; giving his or hers a unique tasting smoke or smog flavor.
