Across the world, prisons are bursting at the seams. However, one country has recently closed down four prisons at a time when jails in half of its European neighbours are overcrowded. Sweden's authorities say the country has achieved this thanks to a good rehabilitation programme and shorter sentences from the courts. But some Swedes say the system is too lax and is denying justice to victims of crime.
